Projects
Kristóf Bacsó Quartet
I founded my quartet in 2004. We mostly play my compositions, which are influenced by Middle-European spirit. Beside me, Kornél Fekete-Kovács plays the trumpet, Mátyás Szandai plays the bass, and István Baló plays the drums. The band besides jazz pub gigs, we performed jazz festivals in Hungary, and the Udine jazz festival in Italy.
Kálmán Oláh Sextet
Band of the great pianist/composer Kálmán Oláh, his music combines the musical heritage of Bartók with the modern jazz, featuring great musicians like: Mihály Borbély on saxophones, Ferenc Schreck on trombone, Mátyás Szandai on bass and Elemér Balázs on drums.
Modern Art Orchestra
Big band of Kornél Fekete Kovács, where I am not only a soloist but also arranger and composer. For more information click at www.mao.hu.
Gábor Winand Trio
A trio of an amazing jazz singer, the other two members of the trio are Gábor Gadó on guitar, and myself on saxophone, our new CD is published in October 2004 by BMC Records.
Miklós Lukács Quintet
A great cymbalom player’s band with lot of rhythm, where Mátyás Szandai plays the bass, Péter Szalai plays the table and András Dés plays on percussions.
